By building our awareness and listening internally, we learn to understand when we are depleted or agitated, and respond in kind with tools that may be restorative, energizing or calming.
Our Approach
We use a form of somatic integration, informed by brain dance, dance/movement therapy, yoga therapy and traditional talk therapy to support you in finding balance. With curiosity and co-consciousness, we help you strengthen the connections between the diverse dimensions of your being, weaving together your physical, physiological, mental, emotional, and intuitive parts of yourself. We work together, at your pace, so that your body can work in coordination with your mind.
What Informs Our Approach
We use brain research to ensure that children may find the right balance of safety, regulation and challenge/novelty in their growth and development. Through play, rhythm, and relational dynamics, we help children make connections as they develop their executive functioning and social emotional toolboxes. Using brain dance, yoga, and games, children begin to integrate their senses, understand boundaries, familiarize themselves with their inner decision making process, and strengthen their capacity for complex thinking and finding balance in an unpredictable world.
Somatic integration also helps parents. As you navigate the joys and challenges of parenting, we collaborate with you to establish healthy coping behaviors, bolster co-regulation between you and your child, and align with your values as a parent.
